NADIRA MURRAY - WRITER, PRODUCER, DIRECTOR
Locked In is Nadira Murray’s debut short film.
Passionately, she wrote, produced and directed the post production of this heart-wrenching piece. She created the look, mood and sense of powerlessness.
Nadira grew up in Central Asia and settled in Scotland as a political exile.
Locked In was based on research into true stories, interviews with asylum seekers, lawyers, NGOs and law enforcement officers.
Bernie launched Salinas Films in 1980 and has produced over 30 domestic and international films.
Since 1988, he has worked with Media Park AG/Media Equity
Associates, Bravo Studios SpA and the European Script Fund Ltd.
Bernie later worked for the Zurich Film Foundation and is a member of the Swiss National Film Office Commission.
Bernie is also an active member of the European and German Film Academy.
REBECCA LLOYD - EDITOR
BAFTA's 2016 'Break through British editor', Rebecca Lloyd, has rapidly worked her way up from assistant editor to lead editor on standout films in an inspiringly short time.
During her promo work,
Rebecca was picked up for sought after work on films such as, Fishtank and Testament of Youth.
Her most recent successes include, American Honey and Made.
American Honey picked up multiple awards at the British Independent Film Awards 2016 and Made was selected for such reputable festivals as the London Independent Film Festival 2014.
STEVE CARDNO - DOP
Steve is an Edinburgh based DOP who graduated from Screen Academy Scotland with a Masters in Cinematography. Since then he has worked on a number of award winning shorts, music videos and TV commercials all over the UK.
Locked In is Pavel Shepan’s first socio-political drama.
Pavel previously directed supernatural and horror short films.
Most notably, The Rat King,
accepted by the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2016.
His mini web series, Judas Goat, also won a number of awards in 2014.
Pavel comes from Poland and has settled in Scotland.
CHRIS ROBB - CO-PRODUCER
Chris' debut feature film, Utopia, was selected as Afghanistan's entry to the 88th Academy Awards.
The Golden Globes screened the critically acclaimed film and it has since won 12 awards
across multiple categories, including Best Film and Best actress at highly prestigious international film festivals.
He previously produced BAFTA nominated short films and enjoys working with a close-knit team.
He has gained recognition for producing films across the Middle East and Asia with worldwide reach.
TATE POST - SOUND DESIGN
TATE POST is an independent
post production studio based in London, offering post production services.
Their team has worked on big budget productions, such as: the OSCAR winning film, Biutiful.
Other notable works include: Sunshine, Slumdog Millionaire and Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2.
Additionally, they have tremendous experience working on promising low budget independent films, for example: Appropriate Behavior, Dir. Desiree Akhavan, 3.5Min, and the 2015 Sundance selected - Dir. Marc Silver.
Currently they're working on a feature documentary project which focuses on the peace process in Colombia for Sundance 2017.
